What Movies are You Watching?

January 8th, 2010

“A success consciousness is that state of mind in which you cannot see yourself as anything but a success.”
Ben Sweetland in ‘Grow Rich While You Sleep’

What ever ‘Movies’ or ‘Pictures’ you are playing in your mind are most likely also the results that you are getting in your life.

If you are constantly watching and playing movies of failure(getting hurt, robbed, failing) in your mind then you are most often receiving those results, and if you are sometimes ‘playing’ movies of success and sometimes failure then most likely you’re getting mixed results, but if you are watching movies of success all the time then you cannot help but succeed!

There are countless stories of athletes who rehearsed their successful moments in their minds before going on to become a champion.

The first person to ever run a mile in less than 4 minutes rehearsed it over and over again in his mind in addition to on the track, all with the intention of doing it under 4 minutes; and finally he was successful.

Even though scientists of the day said it was ‘Impossible’ for a human to run that fast!

All great leaders and people of success agree that you become what you think about. I don’t think they agree on much else! :)

Henry ford knew that if he could see it in his mind it could be achieved, and he proved it over and over again.

Napoleon Hill said “Anything the mind can conceive, it can achieve’

So what ‘movies are you watching?

Grow Rich While You Sleep?

December 28th, 2009

“If you are heavily in debt, this power within you can guide you to freedom from financial obligations. If you are not happy in the home you are occupying, this influence can let you out of it and into the home of your dreams.” Ben Sweetland Author of ‘Grow Rich While You Sleep’

In this book Ben talks about how we can program our minds when we sleep to attract whatever we want.

It’s essentially the thought that what is in our minds creates our life’s experiences.

Every successful person you will meet will agree with this.

If you have a bad attitude, you can change in an instant if you are ready for that change.

If you are broke, you can program your creative mind(subconscious) to direct and influence your conscious mind.

In this book Ben makes a comparison of a large factory as your mind and a president and general manager as your conscious and subconscious minds.

The ‘President’(conscious) makes plans and gives them to the General Manager(subconscious) of the Factory(mind) to implement.

This is how it works in reality, but most people don’t do this process CONSCIOUSLY, with setting goals and programming them into the Subconscious.

The Majority of people don’t have goals, they let life happen to them, and get results that are mediocre at best.

They get results that are in line with their most dominant thoughts. Their most Dominant Thoughts program their subconscious minds and their subconscious minds ‘influence’ their conscious minds.

I say ‘influence’ your thoughts not dictate your thoughts. You can think whatever you want regardless of current circumstances.

It’s a kind of vicious cycle that will only end when you CONSCIOUSLY decide to direct your thoughts, which then directs your SUBCONSCIOUS, and will put you in a cycle of improvement in your life-If that’s your intention.

It’s like a gym locker, you can only pull out what you put in. If you put in smelly sneakers(bad thoughts) with your clothing; you’ll pull out smelly sneakers and clothing(bad thoughts and results), but if you put in smelly sneakers(they always get smelly when you workout in them!!!) that have been sprayed with deodorant(good thoughts consciously applied) then things start to smell a lot rosier!

Good thoughts have much more powerful vibrations than bad.

I am always looking to improve the vibration I am sending out to the universe, as I want the universal boomerang to send back good things to me!

I hope you do too!

Living the Life of Your Dreams

December 23rd, 2009

“our purpose is to evolve into something greater, to transform our lives and our world for the better.”
Marc Allen, Author ‘The Millionaire Course’

In ‘The Millionaire Course’ Marc Allen lists the steps to Wealth and Fulfillment for ‘Living the Life of Your Dreams’, and here they are:
1. Imagine your ideal scene; list and affirm your goals.
2. Write your plan as a simple, clear visualization.
3. Discover your vocation and purpose.
4. See the full half of the glass, the benefits in adversity, and keep picturing success.
5. Live and work in partnership with all.
6. Avoid management by crisis with clear goals and transparency.
7. Love change and learn to dance.
8. Discover your core beliefs, and learn how to change them.
9. Grow at your own pace, with an architecture of abundance.
10. Give abundantly and reap the rewards: put the 10% solution to work in your life(Donate 10% of your income)
11. Become more aware of the spiritual side of life, the power of prayer, meditation and relaxation.
12. Do what you love to do, and success will follow. You can transform your life and your world by doing what you love to do.

Sounds pretty simple doesn’t it?

Can you imagine your life once you have made these changes, and are living them?

I know when I first read the book, I was skeptical; but I was also broke, and had a bad attitude.

I’ve since found that everything he talks about is true and every successful person I know has used most of these principles.

So, are you going for the life of your dreams?

I Love You, I’m Sorry!

December 22nd, 2009

“Total responsibility for your life means that ‘everything’ in your life is your responsibility” Dr. Hew Len Author of ‘Zero Limits’

Dr. Hew’s idea is that we can heal ourselves and anybody and everybody we come in contact with simply by saying and focusing on ‘I’m Sorry’ and ‘I Love You’ and that it’s our responsibility to do so.

The idea is that with forgiveness, and love first for ourselves, then we have the ability and obligation to heal our world.

Our ‘world’ being-that which comes in direct contact with us-Anything and Everyone!

Dr. Hew worked as a therapist at an asylum for the criminally insane. He was able to heal all the patients without ever meeting them or seeing them.

He found that by working on himself(while stating to himself “I love You, and I’m Sorry”) while viewing the charts of the inmates, he was able to heal everyone of the inmates.

His belief is that everything we witness in our world we are in some way responsible for creating, and that forgiving and loving the part of ourselves that is in connection and responsible, that which we observe is healed.

WOW!

If you know about quantum physics, or even ‘The Law of Attraction’ they both back up such ideas.

Dr. Hew is now in his 70’s and considered a great shaman.

Thanks Dr. Hew!

Is Your Karma Hurting You?

December 21st, 2009

“Karma is the eternal assertion of human freedom… our thoughts, our words, and deeds are the threads of the net which we throw around ourselves.” Swami Vivekananda

In ‘The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success’ Depak Chopra says: “Karma is both action and the consequence of that action; it is cause and effect simultaneously, because every action generates a force of energy that returns to us in like kind.”

You’ve heard the quote: “as you sow, so shall you reap”

What seeds are you planting?

Are you planting seeds of Hope, Love, Joy, Success?

Or are you planting seeds of despair, judgment, anger, hate?

One will build you up and make everything you touch turn to gold, the other, I’m sure you can guess the answer…

Our tasks as humans are to grow and learn.

We can learn from our mistakes and grow, or keep repeating them, until we learn…

It’s your choice ;)

The Razor’s Edge

December 16th, 2009

“No man ever achieved worthwhile success who did not at one time or other find himself with at least one foot hanging well over the brink of failure.” Napoleon Hill

Man that’s a great quote!
It says it all.
How many times on the road to success have you felt that way?
Gotta keep your head clear and focused on the task at hand and the goal in sight at all times.
In the movie ‘The Razor’s Edge’ Bill Murray is searching for enlightenment, and when he finally gets his epiphany, he decides to leave the monastery.
The head monk in talking with him finds out his reason: “It’s easy to be a holy man on a mountain” says Murray, the holy man responds: “all else is the razors edge”.
It kind of feels that way on the entrepreneurial path sometimes.
Hell or high water I’m going to succeed in this business venture!
Then the universe tests you, throws things like money shortages at you, illness, family saying things like: “I told you so” and the list goes on…
It’s the same razor’s edge.
Are you going to fall off that vision, that dream of a better life, and fall back into that safe comfy drudgery called a J.O.B(Just Over Broke)?
That’s the balancing act on the razor’s edge, to keep laser focused on your goal of enlightenment, success, victory!
I think that’s true about most things in life is to keep a balance of the spiritual, physical, emotional, and mental.
Life is full of distractions, but if we can keep the faith, hold the vision, we might just arrive at the destination we are seeking.
